With the introduction of drew characters to the game I thought it could be a good game mechanics to add as part of Cg's ect.
So easy one Pirate lord , starts building a rep as a dread pirate and bounty gets larger the more commanders s/he hits, builds up more followers and takes over a asteroid base , missions start spawning in the area to alert commanders of the dread pirate , galnet articles also spawn to get more people aware of this. Solo - geared that one Cmdr could feasibly take on the pirate gang but it would be hard, pg and open soloing it would be suicide it is geared for wings.
this mechanic could be geared for CZ's with say war criminals or famed Admirals , one who have to kill the other you defend to the hilt.
In non non combat uses there could be famous explorers that will accidentally give you tip off exciting places to visit, rich merchants offering trade deals or convey contracts, famous person that needs to be relayed from one "concert" to another
