Personal Missions/Goals

I would like to see some missions work like community goals. Instead of the predetermined amount of commodities or bounties/combat bonds that current missions give you, they could give a time limit and mini tiers to reach. The payment, whether it be credits or reputation, would scale up based on which tier you reach. Basically, I'm suggesting a mini community goal just for you that's in the form of a mission. I am not suggesting all missions switch to this format, just some of them.

I understand missions are supposed to undergo a facelift in the Powerplay update, but I'm not sure how drastic the changes are going to be. I thought I'd throw my idea out there and see what you guys could come up with. Expand on it, shoot it down... whatever. I think it's a cool idea.
 
A bit of leeway would make sense, and a surplus bonus for certain types of missions would be cool, too. "We'll starve to death if we don't get 173 tons of algae right now! "What? You only brought 172 tons of algae? Git outta heah."
