Personal tourist beacons

Low effort offshoot of colonization gameplay for those who just want to show off some system or planet. CMDR could purchase a tourist beacon and deploy it to a location of his choosing. There would be some nominal weekly maintenance cost along with a report about how many CMDRs have visited the beacon during the week. There might even be some profit if a sightseeing mission visited the beacon.

To keep it from getting out of hand, the amount of beacons one player can place could be limited. Perhaps as little as 1 per CMDR. The beacon could work better if the player could write a description or at least a title for the beacon, but it's not strictly necessary.

This thread on "planting a flag" turned into quite a long discussion on Beacons - some interesting comments in there:

You possibly lost some support by saying weekly maintenance.
Kind of the point. Nominal weekly maintenance wouldn't be much, 5000 credits at most, but it would be enough to keep people from plonking these down on a whim. If it really was limited to one beacon per commander, it might not be necessary.

Another idea: Galaxy map mode that shows systems with tourist beacons.
