"Personal Weapons" not classes as "Weapons"?

So, I found some Type-9s hanging around claiming to be 'Seeking Weapons'. So I went and bought some 'Personal Weapons' and flew over there to make some $$$.

When I arrived, they weren't at all interested in what I had in my hold! So are these guys seeking some other type of weapons or was it just me they didn't like?:S

The "seeking weapons" Type-9s are only interested in battle weapons, it seems

The profit isn't THAT good. If you carry some cheap battle weapons, you can make about 1-1,5k profit, I think. Only Battle weapons!

They're after Battle Weapons (they're usually present when factions are at war).

They'll pay top whack for them, so if you can source them cheaply enough there's good profit to be made.

Wow so there is already an in game cargo transfer system? How does it work?

They only appear in systems where a war is going on - so I think the idea is that they want actual weapons to equip the soldiers on the warring sides, rather than crates of pistols, which is what Personal Weapons are. So yeah, all they want is Battle Weapons.

You just fly close to them with Battle Weapons in your cargo bay and they magically get transferred and you get your account credited, like Marra said.

I'm hoping that's just a placeholder system until they put in being able to walk round your ship, dock with other ships, watch cargo getting transferred (as David Braben mentioned for stations in a dev video), and actually do business face to face with the gunrunners.

For the record, the prices they offer are pretty damn good. I made a ton of money smuggling battle weapons to a bunch of them in a warzone.

OK thanks, that would explain it. My personal weapons just not cutting it then... :(
