I'll keep this short and sweet. Would you like scaled die cast models of the ships in ED? Come on FDev - we WANT this!!

Yes! But really, any material that can be painted with regular model paint would be a big thing for me.

I'm not too keen on the 3D printed models, but die-cast models I'd fork out a tonne of cash for! I really would like FD to get something going with a model manufacturer so we can build and paint our own models. I'd spend even more money on those. Imagine a 1:72 scale model of a Cobra MkIII alongside a Spitfire (et al.)! :)

OK I used your imagination (see what I did there) - and voted yes!

The 3d printed ones on sandstone type material are ok at best but overpriced and ridiculous expensive shipping....
Something akin to the recent Star Wars Titanium Black series ships would be awesome.... ships in box say a 5cm size and then maybe something like a 20cm range would be brilliant .... i'd buy the lot

I voted for die cast, but would actually be more interested in injection moulded plastic kits made by someone like airfix. a choice of weapons to put on them and the option to assemble wither with gear down or stores...

There's a meme somewhere about shutting up and taking my money. :p

I'd appreciate something like that.
I prefer "heavy metal" over any 3D print or alike.

Our Ships are heavy and durable - no reason scale models shouldn't be as well :)

You gave it to her? :p < facepalm >

Had a leak in the roof over the weekend and she needed it for paying the builder... No doubt the roof looks great with shoes and sparkly stuff all over it!

And no, I will not be mentioning this post to her, I like life to much! ;)

Still a lot of cost involved in creating the tool parts to produce en-mass even a plastic kit. I had to look into such a project a few years ago and was shocked by the costings!

It's practically an anaconda! I understand some would want to paint them themselves, but for the rest of us let's go with this. [yesnod]
