In my personal opinion the 'Discovery Scanner' and the 'Standard Docking Computer' should be standard modules on every ship.
Why?
Discovery Scanners
I find it extremely annoying putting a Discovery Scanner (Size 1) in my size 3 slot on my Corvette, or any other ship for that matter. This is a module that I personally run on every ship simply because it makes me a little extra income every time I jump through a system I haven't been to before. Not to mention you can't even look at system data until you've visited a system. I would just like to be able to utilize those small compartments without needing to sacrifice a scanner, that in my opinion, should be on every ship.
Standard Docking Computer
Now, I've been playing Elite since the GPP release on Xbox. I know how to dock and don't usually run a docking computer unless I'm being lazy. But, with that said, I see a lot of new players having issues docking when they haven't even got flight down yet. I personally think that this module should be standard (It does say it in the name after all XD) so that newer players can focus on one less thing while getting started up. This would also teach some docking etiquette to some of the players whom like to enter through the red side of the port. Besides, when you don't want it to take over you can just switch it off and dock manually.
