Petition: Npc crew model in copilot seat

Dear FD, is it possible to allow our crew to occupy free crew seats?

I'm not asking any special feature... just spawn a body in an empty seat (and despawn when someone joins multicrew). Just for the sake of immersion.

Any other fellow player who is with me?

I was pretty surprised to find out that they didn't appear in the seats, the first time I hired one. It would be a nice feature.

It's not exactly what you're asking for, though I'd be happy for your idea as well, as long as these NPCs can join me on ships like the Cobra that don't have an SLF. Some theorize that our hired NPCs are always with us on any and all ships, since they are always available in the crew lounge no matter which station we fly to.

I thought about this last night actually while i was freecaming and looked around my bridge. I look so lonely in my big Anaconda.
An option to customize bridgeofficers.. Ehh hired crew, would also be great, and from that create their little avatar picture as well.
Gosh... I'd be even more cautious with my pilots if this came along. But, the more things to do, even a thing like this, make things merrier.

Yep - no extra anything, just a figure in the seat. It would be nice if they had idle animations, but I'd be happy with a mannequinalike.

Me thinks they haven't already put in a place holder such as your proposing because of their infuriating 'believability' style. E.g. why have crew sit there if they can't get out of the chair - because it needs 'feet'.

But wait what about multi-crew! Well I honestly think they shoe-horned that in the establish connectivity and instancing and keep Cmdrs sweet. Why else introduce the absurd and ridiculous 'teli-presence'...FD simply won't put something in without it being 'believable' even if the science or concept is ridiculous.

Cant have crew because they can't stand up. Simple - wait for Elite feet sometime 2020 - probably called Elite Deadly.
