Petition to Remove the Blue Dots

So I find these dots annoying, distracting and just clutter up the map, They aren't needed as the line point is close enough to get sector coordinates. Plus it's one less thing to draw for the ole Galaxy Map engine.. And I don't want to always have to turn off the grid to get rid of the dots..
:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

See distracting eh?

Thank You

P.S.

Still can't really play due to the other issues but just thought I would patch today and see if any changes, (no help for me yet) so figured I would pick on the lil blue fellas.

Seconded.

Galaxy map also seems a tad slower since recent updates. (At least for me). Not too significant but not improved by any standards.

Total agree. They do nothing but distract you from the star your trying to find. They need to be 50% transparent or better yet, completely removed. The galaxy map is ugly now. I hate the new blue circles. Does anybody actually like the blue circles? Anybody? Bueller?
.

Just as an FYI if you uncheck the grid box it gets rid of them. However, I use the grid a lot especially when exploring so am still in favour of their removal.

When it was brought up in another thread, FD actually had the gall to tell us to turn off the grid in the map options if we didn't like the dots.

So apparently the solution for dealing with an eyesore 'feature' no one asked to be put on the map is to disable a feature people actually use on the map.

DevLogic™. When confronted with a ridiculously stupid design decision, say something equally stupid in a poor attempt to defend it. :rolleyes:

Most Devs hate the dots too but are too afraid to say so.
