The dots seems to be just another case of poor design choice along with no idea about how to create options - who's leading this team of devs? Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck? It's certainly not anyone with an ounce of common sense but what else should I expect given the way I have seen one of the Dev's talk to their customers.
It's almost a rule that if you add stuff into a game you should consider a toggle on/off option but just a glance at the games option menu's shows FD really don't have much of a clue about options, menu's or methods of input.
I've worked for software houses like this, they all fail due to heads stuck in the sand or the project leaders bung hole.
