Concur. I'm pretty sure using forums to advertise your business is bannable on most forums on the internet.
At the risk of railing this silly thread (what is the opposite of derailing?) can I take this opportunity to once more plead with FD for a thread ignore option on these forums? It would solve this and so many similar problems for those of us who dislike certain types of thread but don't have the mental fortitude to manually ignore them without getting annoyed at their continued presence on the front pages.
Please, FD, for the love of all that's pure give us an ignore thread function. It would make forum life so much more bearable.

Nice idea, and I understand why you have posted this. But the "influencer" will simply find someone to post his video on his behalf.
Also - some players post videos of exploration (which are pretty good, usually !) or of a combat manouever they want discussed, or even a bug.
I'm all for a bit of viral advertising. With Youtube specifically through, game coverage has shifted towards outrage coverage. To be fair, some dev houses deserve everything they get, but since the outrage format is popular, some undeserving devs get the same treatment.
Can we just stop them posting instead ?
