Petting zoo?

I was hoping Frontier may add these kind of animals and other objects and buildings the player can build a little petting zoo.

I wonder if guests would be able to pet the animals?

It would be a nice addition to Planet Zoo, especially since real life zoos often have a petting area with farm animals such as goats, sheep, donkeys, chickens and pigs.

Sometimes petting areas in zoos also have other animals such as helmeted guineafowls, zebus and cows.

Oooh yes I definitely want this! Like said above, many zoos have a small petting zoo so it would definitely fit. The zoo I worked at has that too and I would love to copy that zoo in the game, so please please give us a way to make a petting zoo.

I love it. I have seen pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, smaller cows, alpacas, and tortoises in petting zoos. I don't see why rabbits and donkeys wouldn't work, too. Couple that with aviaries that let you walk inside with the birds, and you have a very interactive zoo experience.

Yeah, I loved to see a petting zoo.

It could be an attraction for the littlest guests and be something that guests would want. Adding one to a zoo helps boost their attendance and overall satisfaction with the zoo because there's something for all ages or something that allows them to interact with animals like the safari tour does.

We were at the zoo yesterday and hang out at the petting zoo when suddenly I got this "Oh my god, I hope there will be a petting zoo in Planet Zoo!!"-thought that I couldn't let go off. So I totally hope so, too.

As long as it's not just a building to plop down like in zoo tycoon. I want to pick out each animal and have my keepers look after them too.

Maybe if they weren't cared for enough the downside would be they would get angry and scare your guests when the tried to pet them xD

I would love to see petting zoos in Planet Zoo! Especially since we have a petting zoo/farm at the Phoenix Zoo and my nieces/nephew love going to the petting zoo. I also, when Planet Zoo first was announced, I made a topic for Petting Zoos to be in Planet Zoo.

That picture inspires an actual enrichment for animals that likes to mount on certain things through out the wilderness.

I love it! Likely, that would be a DLC but man, I'd just like any excuse to add donkeys and goats to Planet Zoo.

My first thought when I saw that tree was "what a fantastic enrichment item for goats" too :'D

I'm not sure if it will make it's way into the game if only because, as mentioned, it seems better suited to DLC - since PZ at the moment has a hefty focus on conservation, I feel as though we'll only be seeing exotic animals at release and not so many animals implemented more as a 'gimmick'. Meaning, if there isn't much reason to include the goats/donkeys in your zoo unless you're building a petting zoo, then I would argue those species are 'wasted' space on the species-list where a much more interesting animal with more complex gameplay could have been.

Though I'd love to run a small park that was just like one of those kids farms :')
