And there was me thinking that the Mining Laser had a low refire rate!
Interesting development though, could we one day have little portable fusion generators powering our homes and cars I wonder?

Lol, yea the mining laser is bad enough.

Nah I highly doubt that it'll be in houses, at least not in our lifetimes. Plus you wouldn't need it for homes, it maybe that 1 day we'll have power coming into our house that has come from a fusion power station though.
I doubt you'd ever get a fusion generator small enough for a car. Huge pressures & temperatures have to be developed either needing massive tokomak magnets or large arrays of lasers (as above).

Yeah that's something that has been seriously considered - i remember reading an article about it. Apparently the lack of noise makes them more dangerous, as people don't hear them coming. There was a suggested solution to have little speakers on the outside to play fake engine noises.

I wonder if Essex boys could still mod these so their fake engine noises are particularly loud and annoying?
