Pharmaceutical Isolators ... help? and questions!

alright,

i read all the past post on this material and have had no luck finding these things in the past week.

~ ive set my map to outbreak
~ ive set population to 1/2 minimum and full max -- this leaves 1 or 2 systems that are not independent or allied ... and those are not producing hge's
~ i know they are rare ... but, a week flying around and nothing has been found ... do i need to fly for a month? 2 months? how rare can they be?

so,
~ do i have to wait for systems to turn outbreak? as im only seeing a couple system with the filters set that meet the criteria for what has been talked about in the past for finding these. and those system are not producing results.
~ do i have to only look for millions/billions in population? 5k and 15k populations are no good? those are not producing the results for me either.
~ do i have to look for only independent and allied?


just curious if anyone has any other info that would be helpful(esp. with new updates) and is having any luck with these as im struggling to find them.


and im getting really tired of wasting my time flying around endlessly!

I found those in Convoys in Outbreaks, back in the day - which was quite a while ago, when I was looking for them. If that helps you, grand. If not, well... at least you know how it was "back then". Took a bit of shooting at poor sods...

Probably. But the BGS has been full Lady Gaga for about six weeks now, so maybe check back in another couple of months, if anyone's figured out how the game works by then.

Alternatively you can collect six times as much of something else somewhere else and trade them.

Honestly it's never really been worth it to chase down individual materials since the material traders dropped. Any source of equivalent grade or higher materials will suffice; just take them to the appropriate trader. The exponential 6 to 1 trade ratio is rather tyrannical, but still quite preferable to never finding the exact material you're looking for.

Equivalent grade doesn't work. Either lower, or higher, grade, on same row.

This. HGEs are plentiful again, though targeting specific materials is still hopeless. You get an average 9 G5 materials per any HGE, so basically 11 random HGEs equates to 16 of what you really wanted (via the trader at 6 to 1).

BGS is broken very mutch as other things scenarios, cz -- the half of community is far away --- so the dont have mutch effort to fix things - trade up or crosstrade is the best you can do, you find them dropping from annacondas or typ 10 sometimes too.
Don´t expect this to be fixed in under half a year thats what called soon im sorry

A week flying sounds excruciating. Here’s how I’d do it in a few hours in a ship with good jump:

1. Filter very high population systems in galaxy map
2. Jump between them and scan (with FSS) for HGE.

10 HGE’s = 90 random G5 materials. (or so) Then travel to nearest trader and exchange for your isolators. I keep finding HGE’s in 8 out of 10 very high pop systems.

Or just go to Dav's Hope and do laps in your SRV, then come trade in what you don't need. Don't forget to scan the data point too.
