Phasing Sequence bleedthrough damage

I know phasing sequence takes 10% from the DPS of the laser. But it also does bleedthrough damage. I have a few questions about this:

1. What percentage of the damage of the weapon is applied as bleedthrough damage to the hull?
2. Is this damage applied in addition or is taken away from the shield damage when the shields are up?
3. If it's in addition, is it still applied when the shields are down?
4. Do ordinary hull resists apply to bleedthrough damage or is it resist immune?

I can't really think of any other special effect to put on a Pulse or Burst laser when I'm not in a wing, and I've already got one scramble spectrum. As I'm not going to have a full phasing sequence build I'm just interested whether I'll increase total DPS with phasing sequence or not.

1. 12% I believe.
2. I think it's in addition but don't quote me on that.
3. I doubt it
4. They don't not, which is one of the reasons I like it. Iv noticed in some cases I do almost as much damage when shields are up as when they're down. I assume this is because of hull resistance. Also, the bleed through damage does not appear to have range fall off.

1) I don't recall exactly, but 12% sounds right
2) It is in addition to. It's typeless damage, and the same amount of damage "bleeds through" (is applied to the hull) regardless of falloff from range. I don't think shield damage resistances even matter, but I'm not 100% sure about that.
3) It only works when hitting shields
4) It's typeless damage. Fun note one this: Because of this property, cytoscramblers do a surprising amount of hull damage when the enemy shield is up, even though they do basically nothing to an unprotected hull (at least, in the absence of corrosive)

Thanks for the great info Threeofseven and Frenotx! Could you link to a source/test though, or is this just from your own unrecorded testing?

Looks like phasing sequence isn’t too bad if there isn’t any other option.

I don't have any material on hand, but, well, it's me.
