picnic tables and benches

I've always wondered, but what are picnic tables and benches for if I never see any visitor using them?

Well much like real life: picnic benches are for siting down to eat , benches are a place to rest. If you don't see guests using benches this means your zoo is too small for guests to get tired. Picnic benches again not used if not that many people are eating in the area, they just be placed close to a food shop

When I first started (not long ago) I never saw anyone use my benches and picnic tables. I thought they were just decor. I got so excited when I started seeing the little peeps using them

Picknick tables should be placed near-ish food areas (they'll sit to eat) and benches should be placed deeper in the zoo. The 'energy' level of pawns causes them to use/not use benches to rest. They have some nice animations for sitting getting up/etc for the pawns when they use the benches.
