Picture freezes in rift but game keeps playing

When I start playing (have tested both open and solo and neither makes a difference) everything is fine. After a couple of jumps the game starts slightly stuttering around. It mostly starts happening during a loading time like during the jump animation and right when you enter a system. Then another jump or two later is starts happening all the time randomly and even just sitting in a port. Another jump or two later and the screen freezes in my oculus rift with the egg timer loading icon.

The sound continues in the rift and the game also continues in the window on my monitor as if nothing happened. I then quit to desktop and restart the game only to go through the motions again and again. I am loving the game but am getting tires of restarting every 5-6 jumps. Not to mention the few death I have had because it freezes in my oculus in a very inopportune time. Its hard to be in a dog fight with the oculus kind of propped on your head and trying to look around using the small window on the desktop lol.

Has anyone else experienced this and maybe have some sort of solution to help with this?

I mainly run the game on VR high and the debug tool at 1.7. I have tried it with everything from not using the debug tool to 1.5 - 2.0 with no effect to the problem below. I have tried many setting in the options, followed many guides on the forums for settings also but none had any help or hindrance to this problem.

980TI
AMD FX-9590
16GB Dominator Plat DDR3 2133
Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z
Inateck superspeed 7 ports PCI-E usb 3.0 expansion card
Corrsair HX Series HX850W power supply
Win 7 (all latest drives for Nvidia and Windows)
Oculus Rift CV1

I have experienced the frozen VR display with the functional monitor image a few times. Most commonly when jumping to SC from a planet surface, I didn't think to capture details and post a ticket at the time but recommend you do if you haven't already. Unfortunately between this and the mem leak bug I am not playing in the rift at all, just es me off.

I would recommend you close ED+Oculus store+Debugtool then restart the oculus runtime service before you go back into the game afterwards as well as I find anytime there is an app issue and you don't restart the service, it becomes a jittery mess quickly.

To others thinking this is the mem leak bug, it seems unrelated as I have had it happen multiple times with 6-7GB of my RAM free still (not in physical or committed). Seems there are some serious game breakers for the Rift floating around.

Am fairly certain it is the memory bug, I've been back and forth with support over the last month or so. Apparently they are close to resolving the issue.

Most likely:

Check if your committed memory fills up when it happens

I apologize. I am not sure how I missed this report when searching the forums. Thank your for everyone that responded to my undeeded thread. I am looking forward to this getting fixed. As a new play (only been playing two weeks) I am loving the game though. All the other games I bought for my rift I havent even played since getting this game lol

its a memory thing.. had it when i was running VR High and SS 1.5 but since i moved to Ultra and SS 1.5 ive not had it and it uses 3+ more gig total 13-14gig of ram.

Just wanted to make an update of what has helped my experience with this problem. If I change the settings to full screen mode instead of window mode I can go 15+ jumps instead of the 6ish I get in windowed mode.
