When I start playing (have tested both open and solo and neither makes a difference) everything is fine. After a couple of jumps the game starts slightly stuttering around. It mostly starts happening during a loading time like during the jump animation and right when you enter a system. Then another jump or two later is starts happening all the time randomly and even just sitting in a port. Another jump or two later and the screen freezes in my oculus rift with the egg timer loading icon.
The sound continues in the rift and the game also continues in the window on my monitor as if nothing happened. I then quit to desktop and restart the game only to go through the motions again and again. I am loving the game but am getting tires of restarting every 5-6 jumps. Not to mention the few death I have had because it freezes in my oculus in a very inopportune time. Its hard to be in a dog fight with the oculus kind of propped on your head and trying to look around using the small window on the desktop lol.
Has anyone else experienced this and maybe have some sort of solution to help with this?
I mainly run the game on VR high and the debug tool at 1.7. I have tried it with everything from not using the debug tool to 1.5 - 2.0 with no effect to the problem below. I have tried many setting in the options, followed many guides on the forums for settings also but none had any help or hindrance to this problem.
