Pigs in Space

And cows, lots of cows - and chickens.

Are we all vegans in the future, eating franken/soy meats? Not me. Give me a steak. All these agricultural stations and mega ships growing vegetables, but where are the walking steaks, chicken sandwiches, and BACON?

We look too healthy in holo-me to be vegans.

According to Adams; cows are bred to serve, as food. Well by the end of the Universe and Elite, must be close to that time.

Dunno, I always figured in the spacefaring future we'd probably be vegans because it seems more futuristic, and takes less soil/water to grow things... I guess meat would either be outlawed in some places or treated as a luxury item.

Pass the Soylent, I'm starving. :)

Animal meat is on the more expensive side of food, so the number of cattle seems to be reduced proportionally. But with hundreds of earth like planets and genetic modification, a few solutions for ecological problems were found I guess.

True, Animal meat is expensive, but there is a trade in "synthetic", for want of a better word meat created by cloning muscle tissue. Its in the marketplace descriptions...

So..what do you think Animal Meat is in the commodities market? :)

You're right, but I was thinking visual through the domes. But as soon as I posted I realized that they still don't show any humans either, except in cockpits. So I'd still like to see people walking/driving around stations and surface outposts first, and in the windows in control towers, and etc. They can do it with their other games, so why not ED?

I think they won't do it until they're ready to do a proper job of it. Otherwise it's dev time spent on eye-candy. Same reason earth like worlds are just a picture even though we know FD has looked at cloud modelling for gas giants.
