Hey just wondering if anyone has spotted the pillars of creation in elite?

They are part of the eagle nebula towards the center of the milkyway (maybe almost half the way there?).

The Pillars of Creation aren't particularly impressive in visible wavelengths of light.

You should see something like that as you approach, but ED's super-realistic approach to astronomy will likely disappoint you in that regard - this picture looks like a relatively long exposure, so it won't seem anywhere near as impressive in the game.

Unfortunately the pillars of creation were destroy 1000 years ago by a supernova, the light from this event has yet to reach us. Not sure about in the game.

You are correct, you won't find them in ED, they are long gone.

It is only a theory that they have been destroyed. Until the light has reached us there is no way we can know 100%

I did not know that, over the last 2years ish now I have been getting into astronomy and astrophotography and I do think that the pillars of creation are one of hubbles great's. I do wish they are in game
