Firstly, Seasonal greetings to all Cmdrs, hope you's all had a great xmas! :)

Secondly, I just got to try this new demo from Space Bullet Dynamics called VoxMachinae (its a mech warrior style game demo) and I must say I liked their idea with how to animate the pilot sitting in the cockpit chair, in relation to how they have connected the pilot to the camera head move. Essentially the whole chest and shoulders react and turn to your RL head movements in a fairly realistic and natural way. Its goes a long way to helping you feel connected to the pilot in the chair, when you move, it reacts. This would be perfect in ED imo.

P.s Personally ED I think are going down a dead end road with trying to bring the pilot to life by simulating this with broad regular animated movements like the stretching hand or the tapping the fingers on the thrust control. It isnt connected or reacting to anything that happens with whats going on with the ship and so actually makes the pilot feel more automated and dead, like a dummy in a shop window. It needs to be connected and subtle.
