Pilot Federation Intelligence Files

Seems to me that members of the Pilot Federation should have the ability to look up other commanders and see their statistics page. Essentially the same info you get when looking at your own stat page. Number of hyperspace jumps, systems visited, amount made from assassinations, number of bounties, highest bounty amount earned, that sort of thing.

If you look up someone and see they've had two billion in bounties on their head you might decide to steer clear. Can also give you insight into another CMDR if looking for a Wing mate or opponent to hunt down.

Im all for adding interactivity and functions to the game , though i would prefer for the info to be accessible anywhere (rather than solely stations or a specific one).

Given the amount of time spent in the cockpit i would like more options and buttons to press , it can get dull out in the black and interacting with the ship is all you really have.

All Cmdrs are members of The Pilots Federation..

Going by the fact we can see their Pilots Federation Combat rankings its clear that regular PF pilots can at least see that and the fact mission givers can check your official ranking it would appear people who aren't in the PF can see them too.

Well, basics like if someone's an actual member and what ranking, the stuff we already see in-game anyway, but beyond that it's all classified.

I seem to remember that in Michael Brooks Book the one CMDR, Piotr was the name I think, did have access to some database of the PF where he could get some real good info.And I think his Elite Combat Rank was part of the level of access he got, but my memory is bad so I might mess something up here.
Granted that has nothing to do with the gameplay itself, alltough maybe Mr. Brooks can shed some more light on the Lore of what kind of Data PF member can have access to. Anybody knows how to summon him on the Forums?

Maybe not the Pilots Federation, but I'd wager the Federation would sell info on any federal navy pilots for a quick buck. For the imperials you'd probably need a funny handshake and the right parents to get anything...

I'd say yay (for PF), but for limited information - combat/trade/exp ranks, outstanding bounties, criminal record.

It would be very nice if we got a special ship decals for participating in game objectives such as community goals; you could then choose a (limited) selection of these to be displayed under the cockpit. It would be great if when scanning another commander's ship if you could see these - a little bit of recognition, showing off your achievements if you like, that would add to the game play a little.

I'd like to see averages and maximums for values. Not naming names, no look-up system but it'd be nice to compare yourself to the rest of the community.

Some out of game tools offer this but it's obviously limited to the number of people participating and the reliability of the information (updating regularly etc).
