Went for a ride in the SRV with horizon lock enabled.
I like how it gives you a clear impression of the gradient of the ground you are traversing, but it only mitigates motion sickness a little as horizontal movement is still too unpredictable, jerky or sudden.
Also, I seem to have encountered a bug. I loaded my Type 7 with a vehicle hanger, landed somewhere and after deploying the SRV I stayed in the ship. I could take off in the ship and I could hear the sound of the SRV deploying over and over. I couldn't access any menus so I force quit the game and loaded back up only to be spawned in the SRV :S.
Then I recalled my ship, boarded and my thrusters were offline, enabled them in the modules menu and still couldn't move :S. Had to quit again (this time to the main menu) and I was off again but seriously, ? anyone else encounter this?
