Pilots Federation Mission/Notice Board and Historical Awards.

So, you know how we are trying to get certain "outside of the game" into the game.
How about having a screen for that?

Like Polls done on the forum, or social media platforms,
Information about the number of phases and which phases the game is "in" during an interstellar initiative, or community goal.

What about all those "ferry" times and pickup locations?

We needed a screen for "rumours"?
or Tips for Inara bases.

So lets HAVE a damned screen for that (mission board, where the community goals are shown).

Tying it all together - respecting the player engagement and time

So how cool was it when diving into a burning station where civilians needing to be rescued and then we set about repairing them.
But you know what sucked, not know where, how and how much, and did anyone care?
- yes, they are on the Galnet and the galaxy map but scrolling around and looking at the text with percentages is not fun.
but lets' make them like a proper CG, where you get a dedicated menu to see what needs to be done, clickable location, clickable commodities that link into the galaxy/system map -already filtering the goods on the galaxy map.

Hero's and villains system

Record the Pilots names, and deeds.
So when visiting a saved station / repaired station, the player's names are heralded in the station's records as a hero
And their wing
AND their squadron.
Powerplay faction.
Giving added incentive to work together.

What about a place to highlight the notorious players with the highest bounty on their "ship", and last sighted "scan".
And notorious wings and Squadrons.

So this whole "writing your own story thing?" in the player journal.
Players can be a famous hero's or villains "in-game" in the records of the stations and the AI factions defending them.

Something like this?

Yes!! Exactly! And this is the point I wish to make
1) So yes - that is a prime example of the Devs developing a system, but the player interaction with that system is limited to passively reading of the output string of that system. The game has no idea if you read it or not or if want to act on it.

What if we could "pin" a said target on that list.
This would give the game a "hook" to indicate (to the systems of the game) player-intent.
So the devs can go code and drip-feed content back to the player, to keep them informed about the "marked-target", so rumoured whereabouts, or if the bounty is increased, or it's been collected or if a patrol in another system got a scan on them, and how old was the scan.

There have been many calls for a "rumour" system, (Not the "yet implemented codex rumours for discoveries")
But a rumour system for bounties and even treasure hunters.
So docking up and getting gossipy with your contacts (depending on local faction and superpower rep (augmented with squadron standing)) gleens you more or less information.
Incentivising teaming up in powerplay or in squads, or just been damned loved and liked by playing the hero in station rescues or being notorious and scary making the contacts wet themselves and spill their guts.

2) Think more galactic wide.
There is a recent thread (necroing the concept) of a Special Pilot federation bounties of players who kill players, which would be of higher value to the pilots federation notice board than local systems faction top 5 bounties.
(maybe that might incentivise squadrons, wings and players going more Head to Head?)

3) And how does the game reward the top player who has collected the most player bounties compared to the person who has collected 1, or none.
The same. the game does not care. But having station records or pilots federation records detailing the deeds of the pilots who have affected their station/system etc etc.
It gives in-game bragging rights (and bonuses).

(And more than likely any "system" with a text output they might be a Minimal Viable Product, (like bounty lists that have been there since launch), and there are multiple phases of planned work around it, but there was always more pressing matters that get prioritized over this post-it note of gaming goodness)
