Pilots for hire

Ok since we can own more than one ship it would be nice to be able to hire a pilot for them so they are not just collecting dust in a hanger lol.
how about have the ability to hire up to 3 npc pilots for ships we own to makes us some money or protect us while we explore the great beyond.
So type of pilots to available for hire could be miners, traders, bodyguard, and protector.
miners- mine what ever ore you request
traders- trade
bodyguards- protect you as you travel
protectors- protect your hired miner or trader
when you find a pilot to hire you must pay there starting fee, and they should have a weekly rate based on how well they perform there job.
miners and traders do not have a weekly rate but instead get 15% of the credits they earn doing there job.
you must supply them with the ship and upgrade it as you feel necessary since it is your ship.
if they get killed and your ship destroyed your insurance covers your ship you just pay replacement cost but the pilot is dead and you must find an hire a new one if you wish.

The bodyguards idea (called wingmen in proper terms) i think is coming. Maybe even before Wings expansion as the newsletter said something about "colaboration between players" and "in preparation of Wings expansion". I know many people have asked for wingmen by/for NPC and for players, plus FD implemented NPC's with 2 wingmen in 1.05 (i believe) as you can see at Nav Beacons and some USS'es. So far they dont actually help the ship they fly with, but im sure that is coming.

As for your other ideas it sounds pretty fun, but there might be some issues with it. Losing your class A ships to AI and having to pay for the massive insurance could eat all your cash fast since AI arent (in any game) the brightest bunch. And if they didnt die often you could maybe make a little too much money. Not sure actually, thats why i leave it unsaid and let others debate it.

They do now. I got sick of all those wedding/funeral barges the other day so I decided to attack the Lakon (it was a Funeral barge for a touch of irony). Both Sidewinders immediately started attacking me.
