Pilots Insurance made me stop playing ED

Grinding is like working. Rather you like it or you just go to work every day to get salary.

Or why is grinding better than watching TV what billion of people do? Because you DO it instead of get it only etc.

Dont look so small minded but yes, it is not always easy to make it. And thats good! Bye bye OP I love to say, to filter out those "easy to play" ppl...

Well cuz he didnt understood many things of the game... otherwise he would not be in that situation and now he blames it on the game

True enough. Heck I have wacked my Python into the ring support and lost it out of pure stupidity. Good thing I had the 5 mill. to cover it ;) The couple of million in cargo, well can't have it all. I just laughed it off, paid the bill and kept on.

I didn't even know there was credit going on.

I've flown without insurance once. I made all my calculations to safely upgrade ship from a python to a t9. Insurance, cargo, modules and ship difference. Turns out when I sold the python I forgot to sell the modules first. Fell a bit short. Luckly, three or four trips between two stations solved it. Could have happened to me.

Drop the game for a few weeks and pick it up again. All the rage will be gone by then and you'll start to consider all the things you can do different that time around.

I guess this is what it feels like when you buy a brand new car and smash it up the very next day. At least insurance will cover it....... or will it???? XD

I left it in the loading screen. Maybe one day i will read an update that says "pilots insurance limit increased" and i can start playing this awesome game again.

What you worried about , now you have easy mode. Just mess about in your free sidewinder. Go into open play and head for lave or some high populated human space and RAM people, shoot them, get chased by the authorities, you can have fun because you have nothing to lose except your free sidewinder. :D

Happy days

Then once you've got your frustration relief, start to play properly again, or continue to mess about until CQC comes out.

In CQC you can earn credits for the real game but not risk anything by taking part in it, it's free credits from FD

I finally got my Python yesterday and after a few upgrades I had no money in the bank.

Then I made a bonehead move and died.. guess what? Pilots insurance covers you for 2.5 mil... a Python costs 2.9 mil to buy back. So you can now have a free sidewinder and start all over again. After 160 hours of grinding i had my Python for 1 day and i can start all over again... haha dont think so. They should increase the limit by a lot or remove the limit all together and increase how much of your income they take, say 15-20% vs 10% until loan is paid back. Why is there a limit? All it will do is make players stop playing the game if they run into the same situation. I'm not blaming pilot insurance for what happened, its entirely my fault.. but lets be honest ED doesnt exactly have the best explanation of everyting. I didnt even know there was a limit till this happened.

Hah...

Stop flying without insurance... please...

You don't need to sell the modules first, the value of the modules add to the ships sell price.

if you sell the moduels with the ship you lose 10% of their value as well, if you sell the modules off first you get 100% of the cost back and then only lose 10% off of the base cose of the ship, so you actually save quite a lot of cash by downgrading a ship before you sell it.

I don't get why it is so hard to understand.

Don't have cash to cover insurance = sidewinder unless you have something else stored to fall back on.

This isn't new or news.

Why do people still cry on the forums?

You screwed up, why the rush to publicise it?

Apologies for the hard stance.............but really???

yes, this. lol
first thing to learn in Cobra, Asp level. Sorry but OP didnt deserve Python if he dont know how insurance works and is flying without it.
Dont jump into high level ships - its like the bosses in other games - they are there to test you. You need ate least 50-100% more cr then cost of bare hull, A distributor, D everything else + 4-5 times insurance. You need cr to trade with etc. Dont rush.
