Pimax 5K+ availability Question

Having tried asking the question twice on their site, i thought i might try here for a straightforward question.

As a consumer if i placed an order for a 5K+ now, when will it be shipped? Fancy a change from the rift, and to get back into the game and considering Pimax 5K+ or Vive Pro, but obviously as a totally impatient man I WANT IT NOW!!

Anyone heard of delivery dates? anyone ordered one? (As a Consumer and not a backer. Oh how i envy you backers!!).

We can only guess, but we have reports that some preorders already shipped, and Pimax already produced more HMD that needed for backers.

P.S. they available on Ebay too, probably fastest way to get one.

Some pre-orders are getting their tracking numbers and more have been shipped to overseas warehouses, but if you have only just ordered you maybe in for a wait.

I have only just got my tracking number and I was a relatively early backer in the 1300 area.

Not ordered anything yet, i want to know if anybody knows how long shipping is 'IF' i bought it now.

I know it is selling, i know it is top of the VR charts now, but the reason i did not back this is i have as much patience as a person who has all Patience surgically removed, so if i placed my order, and and had to wait until June/July to get it, then it's the Vive pro with a lens change for me.

So if anyone does have any postage info for CONSUMER BUYERS, please let me know as Pimax clearly are not answering me. Perhaps that is a key to their answer if they bothered to answer my emails! They won't tell me cause they don't know or the answer they offer will put me off the purchase. When i buy 'anything' i need to know when i will get what i paid for !

Tracking just updated ... the blowup dingy just arrived in Jeddah! I’d say there was now a 50/50 chance I might see it in 2019! :O

I think it takes about 10 days to turn up after it has left. As it happens mine has just been delivered today, but at work so I can't see or test it. Not that I think my GPU can handle it at the moment. Need to upgrade.

EDIT: Just ordered an RTX2070, due to arrive tomorrow. Should do well with the smoothing and Fixed Foveated Rendering.

If you are in anyway stressed out by uncertain delivery timelines, then I would advise waiting to order your Pimax once Amazon or other retailers start stocking it, which I reckon is going to be a month or two away (given a fair wind).

I'm fairly certain this is how I will be ordering Mrs Teatime's headset, as whilst I don't doubt Pimax will deliver, they are better at manufacturing than they are at direct shipping to customers and the RMA procedure on Amazon is far slicker than what I've seen to date if the HMD has issues.

Best Advice I've had. Many thanks Mr Teatime, have a bit of Wasp0 Cred (Rep ). As i said in my opening post all my patience has been surgically removed at birth, so...........! I'll hang onto the rift for another month or so and see if/when Amazon get the 5k+ to sell me. Its not as if i am not happy with my rift, but i now know (Without trying or seeing) there are better headsets than my rift.

How ever if i was to get an good offer for my rift (PM Me anyone?)i may be tempted to sell.
