I'm considering ordering an Empire pin to stick on a naval peaked cap, but I don't know if the pin is large enough to effectively serve as a hat pin. Any clues?

24 x 21 x 21mm with a stud clasp at the back. I reckon you could put it through a cap but the stud might press against your skull. You could modify the key ring (39 x 34 x 34mm) as it's flat on the back. By modify, I mean superglue it!

I did just that (with an Alliance pin), and I can feel it on the front of my head just a little. If I don't push the cap fully down it's OK.
It tends to turn a bit, but the Alliance pin is the same in three points anyway.

I'm not really planning on wearing the cap, I just want to put it on this mannequin head that currently wears my M1 helmet and vintage Raybans combo. Thanks Perseus for the measurements, I don't know if that will be prominent enough. I looked into having one custom made but you can only get them in gigantic (relative to my needs) batches and it's not cheap.
I'm a bit surprised they aren't selling peaked caps already. I'd pay $40 for an official one.
@Witzo, how does it look? Is the pin as prominent as it should be? I'm assuming they're about the same size.
