If I go to an engineer can I do a grade 1 upgrade on a module and pin the blueprint and then later in the remote workshop will that same blueprint be able to do a grade 5 upgrade ?

Also can you go to the engineer and pin a blueprint without doing any actual upgrade on the module?

Sorry if the questions seem dumb but I am brand new to pinning blueprints and also because I am out in Colonia for the first time and don't want to mess this up after the long trip out here.

Pinned will only be to the level you have unlocked the engineer to, if it is 1 then it will be 1 pinned.
Pretty sure you can pin it, might need to unlock L1 first but as above you would need to unlock the level you require and pin it for it to be any value.

You can pin it, and it will work up to the level you've unlocked with that engineer. Note that remote engineering does NOT increase your rep with the engineer, so you have to do that at the actual engineer. Do enough upgrades to get level 5 access with the engineer before using remote engineering.

Once you have Grade 5 access with the engineer, then you can use remote engineering to do everything except add experimentals. Those still have to be done at an engineer (any engineer who works on that type of module can add any experimental to it).
