PIPS automatically changing!

Hi All,
PC Version Horizons
Not sure if this is something I'm missing (or doing wrong) but, a couple of times I have been in combat and found that my power distribution has changed without any input from me!
I set it up by firstly down arrow to reset and then one touch to the right to slightly increase weapons and that is it for keyboard usage as I only use the HOTAS for combat.
(I'm not clever/quick enough yet to change pips during combat)
Quite often I find that my pips have changed to all 4 in SYS (usually when my opponent has decided to flee and I can't boost) !
In one occasion, I found that it had changed to all 4 pips in ENG ?

Due to the (IMHO) stupid way that the screen display expands and contracts whilst boosting etc. I cannot see the power distributer so I have no idea exactly when this changes.
Is this something that can be easily explained as it is VERY irritating.....?

Thanks in advance.

sounds like a double bind check control options flight misc
for what is setup to divert power to eng etc
(a common issue for buttons being pressed without being pressed(ghosting inputs) is hotas power related cured by a powered usb hub but lets not jump the gun)

Hi Strontium Dog,
Many thanks for this

That is exactly my set up!?

Just to make what was said above a bit clearer, in the keybindings there are two boxes to the right of each pip adjustment, so you can have two different keys bound or s button on your HOTAS and a key, or even two different buttons on your HOTAS. Have a look at your keybinds to make sure that there is an empty box on each of the pip controls unless you know why you want two and how to use them.

Or... (big maybe here) perhaps your power distributor has integrity below 80%... then it will start failing at random (messing with your pips) every now and then.
I have my setup for modules so that thrusters, power distributer, sensors and life support are the only things in P1 (makes about 37%)

That has nothing to do with integrity.

If someone shoots you in the power distributor and damages it, it can malfunction.
The malfunction effect of a power distributor is to mess with your pips.

I checked those first (I have been caught before with exact that issue on something else.....)

AH- HA !
Noob strikes again blushes the mini joystick (which I use for up and down thrusters) was double bound!

Nailed it, Strontium Dog / d8veh
Many thanks to all of you!

Just to show what a NOOB I am (and to clarify what I said to d8veh), I checked the HOTAS bindings to see if they were double bound. I didn't think to check the pip bindings.......
Goes back to flight school

Aotochanging pips, I wish. CMDR is boosting, autodiverting power to engines. CMDR is firing all we've got, autodiverting power to weapons. Incoming heavy fire, autodiverting pips to systems.
