Piracy; it's hilarious.

Remember your beginnings. If you are in the base Sidey, 30K Cr IS the motherload alright.
I remember my first bounty run.
I'd amassed 80K in bounties at a nearby NAV beacon in my fresh sidewinder.
I bought upgrades, then repeated the process.
Eventually I got a better ship too.

so there was none of this "30k is a lot" from the beginning I knew that I needed a lot of money, in the hundreds of thousands to get decent spacecraft.

Nav beacons are where it's at, a near constant supply of NPC's and with bounties and daft comments.
I love sitting out there in My Sidewinder, its all standard honest gov!!

It's okay, I've given up on NPCs' dialogues and interaction a long time ago (no disrespect to Sarah).

*Gets interdicted by Code NPC*

Sidewinder NPC proceeds to comment on how it demands my cargo and how delicious it is.

I proceed to re-confirm that I am outfitted for piracy and carry only limpets in an Imperial Cutter.

I attempt to reason with said NPC by informing it that I only have limpets and that I am the official ambassador/representative of The Code, therefore it might not be a good idea to provoke me considering the Sidewinder NPC is listed as Code.

NPC ignores my warning and opens fire for my delicious limpet.

I proceed to facepalm and low-wake out.

Rinse and repeat.

.-.

People need to leave more memo on my office table telling me that they're going to pull crude pranks like this =-=

I came across another one.

Federal enforcer vessel (in Empire Space)
"Big haul you got there... Surprised you made it this far"
I look at my inventory, I have 600 creds in Hydrogen fuel and 100 in Biowaste.
I sigh as he interdicts me.
I proceed to blow my wanted enemy into pieces.

He threw his life away over 6 tons of starstuff and feces.

That's nothing, the SDC npcs openly attack commanders even in solo. It's a disgrace. :D

My favourite npc pirates are the determined souls who interdict my Vulture, demand 'IT ALL!' and then proceed to attack me, despite the fact that I don't actually have any cargo racks in the ship and my cargo hatch is powered off.

My favorite is when Sidewinder pirates fly up to my bounty hunting FAS and declare "I see all!!!"

Really? You see all? Did you see the three PAs I have mounted on the bottom of my ship?... *thwamp. poof* ....guess not.

I was pirating some trader in an anarchy system I was allied with.

A wing of pirates entered the instance, saw what I was doing and said words to the effect of "Sorry to disturb you, have a good day sir".
I kid you not, they called me sir and apologised for interrupting and was very professional.

Like real players or NPCs? If NPCs why don't I meet any of those? If players why don't I meet any of those? :(

It was npc trader. Player traders and BH's are usually foul mouthed meenies griefing me. Never once heard them be polite [haha]

I like to flip some systems to anarchy for BM's, security, etc.
It is very interesting pirating npc's in an anarchy system when allied.
They don't act like crazies like the cops do, are very professional and actually recognize piracy and bounty hunters and actually engage BH's who interrupt.
They actually speak like gentlemen as long as you are pirating. [praise]

No honour among thieves? Yea right.

I always like the "Let's see what you're carrying..." opener from NPC pirates. Give's me the chance to quote John Wayne - "Only Lead!"

A couple of times I have had pirates go to jump me then say whoa you can obviously handle yourself sorry for bothering you.

That's funny I always say Laser Beams wanna see

You know what mosts kicks me in the genitals with NPC pirates?

You support them in a regulated non-anarchy system,
get allied with them and have them assist you, even sharing spoils with you when in a rez.
Same situation in anarchy and the puny eagles and cobras you helped out and have as allies
get greedy and suicide attack your Gunship/Python/Whatever.
While in regulated space they simply tell you " Whoa there big guy, didn't want to trouble you!"

Give 'em some brainz!
