iv been reading with interest a few threads that have poped up about the new void opel rush and what it means to piracy.
please exuse my spelling...im deslexic.
now, I play 90% in mobius.....always have...for years.
But theres only so much I can do in the bubble (im also cannon) that can keep my interest. Im elite in traid and ofc exploration.
The void opels I came to realise, from reading another thread, opened up another vent for me. One id only experienced a few times befor. For want of a better word it was basicly smuggleing. I got myself a python...equipped it for mining, no weps….the only engineering I did was from what id pinned...then off I went.
27 tonns of opels I had. inara said id get 1.6mill per unit and I had to go to (dosnt matter) system. So off I jump....now...what makes everything different than normal was...I was in open.
The moment I droped in system theres a holo squair trying to get behind me....I swung abound trying to stop him even if he wasn't. As it happened...he was.....I asked him if he was "the code" and he said "no thanks".....then the interdiction hit.... trying to type things in them situations is a nono.
So im gonna loose and I know enuf to drop out befor that happens......27 tonns….I said ill give you the 7 (o.c.d.) he scanned me and wanted 10...well....me having no weps and a crap ship, he got his 10.
Now having asked him if he was the code he asked "have you been hit off the code today then?" I said ...the truth "nope...but I usualy have a few onion head in my hold for them". that's the truth.
It was around a year ago...in my cutter...with no rebuy...drunk....and all thay wanted was the onion head...thank god.
So poping a heatsink while entering a station is...erm...smuggleing nowadays pve. Getting it passed a player is something else. Also...why DID I do it in open? There was no smuggleing involved if I did it in any other mode.
I think I did it because im rich. Because if I did get killed...then it would hit my balance...but not make me startwinder agane.
So if you have read this far....then my question to you is....how can, as a community, make this game more pro interation for those that want it, but keep the groups and solo play for the lots that want that?
IV thought and thought about it and just cannot come up with a solution. I loved the interaction I had today ..and I know its been said befor….but what if hi security systems had A.T.F response as standerd….and put the "hi mid low sec" info in a normal place. All it would take is different colored lines to where you could jump to....green line hi....blue line mid....u get it. mid sec normal as is now hi sec A.T.F madness...magic like. I can see the flaws.
please lets not tern this into an open v solo thing. What id like to hear are miracles and all things tadoo with it
