Piracy, worth it?

Any pirates around that can tell me whether piracy is worth the hassle, or should I stick to other things?

Piracy is fun, probably the least profitable activity however

but if you mix it with assassinations and fetch missions in uss (illegal) it is quite a good way to progress

you need a decent ship or quite maxed sidey at least id say

You can't really make good money doing it compared to other activities. You can make good money with the rare trades then pirate for fun.

In financial terms, exploring is probably less profitable than piracy. In terms of fun, exploring is far far more profitable

I had good money with exploring, you have to know what to scan and skip the rest, is not so bad. I concede they should buff it a bit

Just do a search on titles in the forums for piracy, as it looks like this last week has been international piracy week, as in there's been few threads on this very topic.

Depends on what you deem as "worth" - is the worth credits, or fun, or something else?

In and of itself, probably not worth it, but it's still somewhat profitable to scoop up cargo while shooting down wanted targets at an anarchy nav beacon.
