Pirate factions

Hey,

I'm intrested in piracy, so obviously i'll be based out in an anarchy system (i think!) ..

If i'm in Fed, empire or alliance space are the local authorites going to pull me and stop me from docking if i've a juicy bounty ?

In my current area there's one pirate corp i know of, the purple pirates. Are there other npc pirate corps out there that offer missions? The purple pirates dont have a bad ass enough name.

if so is there a list or current locations where i could find said pirate corps to work for?

I recently got involved with the Maujingagoto Silver Rats in the Maujingagoto system. They have a convenient outpost called Reilly which sports a black market and no security Well, I think it was spelled Maujingagoto... it's next door to Ross 210 at least so you can always find that. Great place to offload stolen cargo without any risk of being scanned (which means getting fined).

I agree, pirating is a bad word.

Mostly I think of obtaining some cargo as borrowing some money from other players.

Also made me remember a dialogue from Guardians of the Galaxy .. (Rocket Raccoon is just fantastic)

I guess that is sorta piracy in a nutshell... "I want it more than the guy in the trader ship"

Thanks people, i'll check those 2 corps out. i like the sound of the crimson state!

1 more thing.. i docked at a Purple pirate station recently (i'd already do some courier missions for them) but there was nothing on the bulletin board?! a bug or i just dont have the standings at that station for missions??

just a heads up. don't take any of those "skull missions" where you are asked to bring in stolen goods. these missions are broken and you will not be able to finish them. received reply to my ticket that FD is aware of this issue and are working on a fix yesterday.
