Newcomer / Intro Pirate Hunt Mission

Ok guys I've got one for ya.
Single mission not multi or squad.
I'm supposed to enter an outpost with just a + but when I enter, of course, I'm wanted and the skimmers come out. Not there are about 8 skimmers and slowly duck tuck roll hide off the horizon or obstacles I get em down and turrets in a slowly time.
I move in to scan and now all skimmers respawn and turrets as well. SRV's can't take 8 skimmers at once without dying in about 5 seconds.
How do I do these missions or are they just FD's way of saying it's a mission so it looks good on the mission board instead of just one or two on board....lol
No seriously any tips or just not possible without a squad?
Thanks for any advice Commanders....o7

Usually, I like to use a hotrodded Viper for these scan jobs. Yes, you can scan datapoints from your ship with the datalink scanner if a) you can get close enough (an Anaconda is somewhat less than ideal for that...) and b) remember that the datalink scanner needs to be deployed (with the deploy hardpoints key) first.

You have a few seconds to get inside the security zone. If you're quick, that time is sufficient to get in, scan and get out again. If not - go silent and boost out once the scan is complete. They can't shoot you if they can't see you and you're faster than their missiles (ok, they don't shoot missiles from ground bases, but you get my point).

Depending on the level and type of the mission target, I'd recommend to swap ships afterwards. Sure, dual cytos on a Viper will strip shields of pretty much anything (NPC), but even the full load of my twin packhounds won't even strip the paint of e.g. a Venerable Admiral's hull before his escorts rip me to shreds (but they're fun - and very useful if I want to show some discretion in dealing with those base generators).

On the other hand, if I just can't be bothered with that nonsense, I use my Krait Mk.II for everything. Yes, it's a bit of a bother getting her into scanning range of the less accessible datapoints. But her shields give me something like 30 seconds to get the job done after the ground defense start firing.

That reminds me - I'll need to check if the SLF has a datalink scanner. That would make the "get out" part rather optional. Get in, scan and then abandon the fighter while your mothership is hovering behind a ridge (or in a canyon) comfortable 15 km away.
