Pirate lord mission : bug ?

This is the second time this happens to me.
Asked to kill pirate lord.
Go to system A.
Told the pirate lord is in system B.
Go to system B.
Enter USS.
Find Pirate lord.
Pirate lors is in an orca.
Kill Pirate lord.
No reward. No mission completion.

Bug ?

Yeah, been like that for awhile. Don't know if there is a way to fix it, maybe turn off game and reenter?

Yup. Unfortunately bounty targets in orcas have been bugged for a while, still no update on a fix

just wish there was some way to tell before you accept the missions

Don't remember the exact name, but happened to me twice. Since then I've never again accepted a mission to hunt down Acolyte somethingorother, was the same both times.
Spawns in an Orca that doesn't even fight back and doesn't give mission completion no matter what you try or how many times.

On a side note this mission is not to kill a pirate lord if you read the mission description it is the assassination of a rival, not a criminal. If you complete this mission it should hit your rep and give you a bounty on your ship unless the target is in an anarchy system. If you don't read the mission description then the face that they are in an Orca should give you a clue that they are not a Pirate.
