Couple of questions

Do NPC pirates ask you to jettison cargo or only some player pirates?

Also is the following tactic workable?
- jettison cargo when requested
- while pirate is scooping cargo charge Frameshift drive as if you are leaving
- cancel Frameshift and enter silent running
- sneak underneath them
- suddenly appear right in their windscreen and unload a rack of missiles

Is this possible do you think?

In my experience NPC pirates don't ask you to jettison cargo, just open fire as soon as they pull you out of supercruise. Also that tactic will work against novice pirates but any experienced pirate will be prepared for it and destroy you with their superior firepower.

NPC pirates will cargo scan you, and comment on your stuff. I don't think you will need all of the subterfuge. I imagine you can just line up on them and unload those missiles without much trouble. This goes for pirates you find in U.S.S.'s. The guys that interdict you, just want to shoot you.
