I've no idea what the retention numbers are but every single MMO loses a large amount of people within it's first few months, besides a lot of the pirates have moved to other areas with a decent number no doubt representing Delaine in his domain.

It's just this persistant dropping of despressingly sarcastic comments in loads of threads that isn't of benefit to anybody, it looks spiteful rather than witty.

I'm sorry that you find a symptom of generalised discontent by a fairly large number of people including many of the original backers to be depressing. Noone's trying to be "witty", we're expressing discontent.

I've probably got it wrong but I inferred OP differently. I assumed the dastardly pirates had simply relocated in response to powerplay not left the game. I took it more as OP making a lighthearted observation rather than sarcastically slighting the game.

They continually make things worse for piracy (much like mining *wink*) so its no surprise really that there would be less, its hard work, you get more combat loggers than anyone else, the pays rubbish and now you can't even get more than 20 cargo lol.

If they keep throwing negatives at it eventually the fun gets outweighed, I know it did for me.

1. many People complaining at the moment use the phrase "many early backers". I dont understand this statement because it looks as if the opinion of the "backers" has more meaning as the opinion of people who buyed the game later. Im thankful that you helped creating this game but you have one voice not louder as the voice of anyone else.
2. I know a lot of people (many early backers ;-)) are not happy with the powerplay update. But i do feel that fair and well explained critizism (there are a lot of good ones with well explained ideas) is much better then this "everything is bad" "going to leave" "the game is destroyed" talk here on this forum or in the steam community forum. I do love the game and i share many of the critizism on powerplay but with text like that you make the game much more worse then it is. You scare potential new players away and with this your damaging the game as a whole because you denied FD ressources to make the game better.

Be fair and lets wait with the apocalypse for the moment.
