Pirates now sometimes drop Occupied Escape Pods when you destroy their ships. This allows for a novel method to discourage piracy and make new friends

It's pretty neat, when you eject a lot of pods, more Thargoids drop in to help pick them all up.
Last I checked (~ 1 month ago), that wasn't the case. Do you have a video of that?

To-date I've only seen Interceptors call in more Interceptors to scoop Meta-Alloys, any Thargoid Items and Unclassified Relics... five or more will call in an additional Interceptor.

But Humanoids (slaves, escape pods, hostages, anything that has people in it) will get scooped, but not result in an Interceptor being called in. The corollary being that Humanoids are the only cargo that Interceptors scoop, but don't have a "reaction" to if they're on board, nor do they call in assistance, meaning that interaction is kinda unique.

I'm more curious about this in a "That would be new behaviour" way.

Here's a funny: In the escape pods are helpless people you could murder easily, but as they are not displayed as people and your ship isn't holding a gun, this fact does not increase the age rating of the game.
