Pirates posing as security?

Does this ever happen? Every once in a while I'll get interdicted by a lone eagle who tells me to submit to a security scan. The sig on the prompt reads [security force] or something, but I am always suspicious that some pirate has spoofed their ID.

Given how easy it is to outrun an interdiction, this would be fairly smart of a pirate to get prey to slow down. Especially if there is ever consequence worked into the game for ignoring the legitimate security scans.

Anyway, just wondering if it ever actually happened or if I am unnecessarily paranoid. (I'm still not stopping for them, though.)

Currently I don't think it happens but I'd really like to see it.

Examples:

1. Sneaky pirates posing as security force.

2. Belligerent security abusing their authority in deep space.

3. Undercover security operatives trying to deal with both of the above.

I think these will become more viable and fun once the crime reporting function becomes more fleshed out (ie: crime is only reported and logged when witnesses/victims are able to escape).
