I understand that the NPC pirates are important to spice game play up but do they really need to be that persistent ? I mean I had ONE low temp diamond in the hold and some other junk, and it feels like the whole galaxy knows about it. I get pulled form SC every 2nd or 3rd jump and it makes any travel a chore. In addition, they spam my chat with request to drop cargo, pasting new messages 5-6 times a minute.
On top of that they are simply suicidal, I have a well armed and armored conda, and I just kill them constantly.
My suggestion:
- Make pirate encounter less frequent
- Make pirates run for it when they go into 50% of hull for instance, Pirate that fights to the death i simply a bad pirate, they should bail whenever they see odds are against them
- Please add some short battlecries or dialogue lines so the pirates feel more like humans rather than something made of pure annoyance.
- You could make it so that one pirate NPC is more persistent, instead of spawning them like a bad horde mode for mediocre shooter, make him/her bail from fight, follow you, get reinforcements form his clan etc. If he can't mass lock a CONDA get a reinforcement with heavy ship and try again.
This game has awesome potential, but it feels like it is not being designed, just very clever programmers adding stuff, but it is missing something that makes you want to come back for more, feels very generic at times.
