I added a smiley as i think this is good..... .however it is going to be a shock i think... no more carrying around all my guardian shizzle because it seems to me as of 3.3 going live our stuff is going to be a lot more exposed.


I have found in beta pirates are really quick to hit me with the hatch breakers. i feel far more like i am being attacked by thieves now. I suspect this is not going to be an issue if you tend to fly in super killing murder boats as you can still melt pirates quickly, but for the heavy traders, just "running" away may not be enough to protect all your gear.


like i said, i am cautiously optimistic about this... tho that said i would be full on delighted if we could hide stashes on planets and stuff not have to lug stuff about.

Not carried any cargo in beta yet, but this sounds good. Hope they keep it when it goes live. Perhaps I'll invest in a few more point defence ;)

hatchbreakers feel a bit weird indeed at leats how NPC's use them, you hardly have a chance to protect yoruself from them.

Guess FedEx are going to be a lot more exciting now :). Are turrets of any use ? Point defenses may not be enough.
 
An excellent change, anything that makes NPCs more convincing as people is great. I remember playing wing commander back in the day, and even back then, I felt like I was fighting real Kilrathi in those ships the little video you'd get with teh comms of their tigery faces, made all the difference.

A reason to carry point defence again for sure.
 
Would mines be viable to stop hatch breakers? Just wondering. Would give traders a reason to carry mines again.
Anyway, sounds like fun.
