Pirating is now a joke and not worth it

Having pirated a few ships with limpets and got their cargo I then came across another USS.
This time there was a federal security vessel in the area. Obviously I boost out as soon as
possible and start the frame shift drive to evade the fine if he scans me.

But, he scans me immediately and then fines me 130,000cr only a couple of seconds later.
There is simply not enough time to get away.

Also, the cargo that I had acquired amounted to less than 130,000cr when I sold it on the black market.

So pirating is pointless at the moment unless FD increase the time for you to escape and reduce the
excessive high fines when scanned.

Not happy :-(

Deploy heat sinks and try boosting from their field of view. Once you gain a good distance as the cargo scan works at certain distance, then you can engage FSD. If you are flying straight with the po-po on your ass you gonna have a bad time

boo hooo, that's what you get trying to make money off of the work of legitimate CMDRs. I hate pirates and you deserve everything you got. You stole the goods and got caught. Simple as that.

What kind of pirate pay the fines?

However, the increased odds of meeting security when you have a bounty or stolen cargo is really stupid concidering USS is random.

Who said I was pirating CMDRs?
I don't pirate CMDRs. I only pirate npcs.

You're aware that the price of piracy is that you can't go to the stations of the faction you're pirating? You're not supposed to pay the fines and bounties.

NPCs have feelings too you know. Think about little Timmy that will go to bed hungry since his dad were fired for losing the cargo, again.

But you are right, the fines for getting cargo scanned are riduculous compared to the fines for blowing ships up.

Erm, wrong. Think about it.
Really, you think piracy should be profitable even when you pay off your murder bounties?

Care to explain why piracy should have no consequences for your CMDR?

Stick to Anarchy systems if you want to avoid fines.
Trade with anarchy systems is usually pretty poor. People at best go there to pick up items not sold in civilized space, such as Combat Stabilizers, weapons or slaves. However, you can't interdict people on their way out.

Anarchy stations are the bases pirates operate out of. They still go to non-Anarchy systems for their piracy.
