With the beluga and passenger missions and such nearly about to drop, I feel like offering some support for pirating players and ransoming off VIP's at black markets should be a thing. If you can make millions flying VIP's uncontested through long stretches of space, is that so different from just regular old long range smuggling or delivery?

I want sighting a player in a beluga to look like a huge payday for me. I don't want to destroy anyone's ship, but I want to force them to eject their passengers so I can ransom them off. I'm sure others would want to sell them to the feds as slaves too.

There needs to be risks to people stacking lots of passenger missions to make tens of millions.

Hmmm interesting, have you tried this Essential NPC? what is the going rate for Passengers on the Black Market.

My Alternative Cmdr could very well be interested in this?

Well you can get passengers with high value and get pirates after you, would be good to see this as a possible revenue for cmdr pirates. I for one would like to see some improvements in this respect for pirates, certainly make it more challenging completing those lucrative sight seeing missions.

The cargo scanner now scans passengers but I really have no clue how pirating works. Can someone confirm if the devs mentioned there would be passenger piracy on a stream or something like that?

None of this matters as player will do the passengers missions in Solo. Being able to jump from Solo in Open and back is cancer. Piracy has no point in this game.

Some will do yes, but Shinrarta (Jameson Memorial) is Full of Cmdrs buying, fitting out and doing Passenger mission in their Beluga Ships! Also whilst out in Maia last night there where 2 Cmdrs 1 in a Beluga, one in an Orca. So there will be some in Open.
