Pitch black on planet during eclipse

Bright blue B star being eclipsed by class Y brown dwarf - never seen a planet so dark, looking forward to the end of the eclipse

Back when Horizons was released and Barnacles were all shiny and new I wanted to find one for myself.
For days and weeks I scoured many a canyon and creek.
At the end of one play session I parked up in a well lit canyon pointing in the right direction to carry on the search.
The next day when I sat in my Cobra III I couldn't see a thing. I had to abandon the search in that area.
The planet had moved/rotated and it was night time and it really was dark.
Good times.

I'm not really grumbling but that a brown dwarf that close should be providing a little visible light.
