Place more walls on one time...

Hey Frontier,

I am building a indoor coaster. I now have to make the hole building arround the coaster. This is very irritating to build every piece off wall.

Maybe a feature to place more walls one one time?[big grin]

Like a click and drag thing, where you click to place the first wall then drag and stretch that wall out in one direction or the other?

Something like that would be nice. It would expedite the building process of larger buildings and it would eliminate scenery objects so an enclosed coaster arena could be four walls instead of four hundred smaller walls stacked on top of each other...

It couldnt be just one big wall, it would still be a bunch of walls stacked together, so that if we want to make an opening or replace a section we can.

Yes, quite right.

How's this:
Place an object, say a wall piece, and keep your LMB pressed. Now drag it along the path where you want more "objects" and a soon as conditions are correct (adequate space, no obstructions, gridded correctly when on a grid ) another object is placed right next to the previous one and continues as long as the LMB remains held down. Maybe even turning corners? (too much?)

Just make a verticle line with the wall and then hit ctr and select all of them. then it crt d and it duplicate the whole thing. This is why that feature is not needed cause you can already do it.

@DreamMaster - you are correct, but I still think a simple drag ability would be basic enough to add and faster/easier to use.

What also might be a solution is that you can fit complete structures on the same grid. You can stack (for example) 4 walls on top of each other and then just fit it like 10 times on the grid. For big buildings a solution with drag and drop might be a little bit faster, but with this grid system you can also make an edge or more specific combinations of walls or details into one big building.
