Engineers Places to rank up for Imperial ships?

Been away since about May, just bought the Midnight skin for Cutter, even though I don't have it yet. Needless to say, I am eager to move on up in the ranks. Anyone aware of any good mission running areas for Imperial rank? Not necessarily looking for exploits, but don't really want to spend 8 hours a day every day for 6 months to get the appropriate rank.

Has anything changed in the way of earning ranks, or is it still the seemingly endless grind, or the attractive allure of exploits?

data running missions at Wu Guinagi is where i did mine only a week ago. stocked up a 20 mission stack to one ground base one system over. then i took passengers back to the same space dock i came from to earn extra money, used that for donation missions. i did about 5 hours worth and got 2 ranks.
