Plaedes sector was calling to me, HR1185

i'm really glad i took the time to visit this area of space. on my way there i discovered several earthlike worlds, including one with carbon based water life.

the journey so far reached it's peak at a system called HR 1185.

this system has so many neat stellar bodies i could easily spend all day here just flying around.

even if you ignore the binary metal planets very close to the massive blue star at the center of the system, it's still noteworthy, even if you ignore the black hole, it's still noteworthy.

why, i hear you ask?

it's got the largest concentration of ringed T-Tauri stars i've seen in the game so far. these things are spinning at like 100RPM like giant gyroscopes. and there are tonnes of them!

eight T-Tauris in total, the largest concentration i've seen recorded in one system.

more photos to follow, but for now just admire the fact that there are 9 stars and a black hole in this system

I once found a system with three black holes, 14 stars (one of which was an A class star), A bunch of Gas Giants, a water giant, and a lot of high metal content planets. It was called HIP 63835.

i'm currently in a system with a brown dwarf that's tiny, red, and spinning really fast. i tried to get into it's accretion disk and realised that it was spinning ridiculously fast.... probably not a good idea to go down there...

also worth checking in this area (there were some other ones including HR1185 i sold already):

selling the data ranked me up :)

I went there last nice; it's beautiful. The main star is absolutely massive, bright blue with a huge corona. There's a black hole right next to the main star, so I would expect some sort of accretion disc while the black hole is pulling the star to pieces.

There are plenty of other stars around, lots to scan. I necked 115,000CR from that system alone. Ta very much.

In the "vicinity" of Pleiades I found HIP 27573 which had 17 stars in total with 15 of them being TTauri. They all lined up so pretty from a distance.

i must start exploring in random directions more

Yes, you must.

Plenty of people have done the Pleiades. I love randomly finding giant stars, i found i think 3 on my current journey. Hard to spot at times until you are in the region and then they are obvious. Also found a tiny blue nebula last night. Red Spider Nebula it was called. Never noticed it in the galaxy map before because its so small. It just happened to be in my direct flight path.

That's why I never reach my preset destination. I always get distracted by strange sights along the way. And the next time I check Galaxy map I'm another 50ly more away from my destination.
