Plague and Populations

Hi folks,

Just wondering if anyone in the area of the plague systems or carns can confirm if the population has dropped at all?

Thanks

populations are static, Fdev dont allow population control due to its affect on powerplay, the background simulation is dead

Well that will teach all you do gooders bringing all that medicine - you just made them better. Sheesh, way to destroy immersion guys ;)

I never bother to read GalNet. Is there ever any Terrorism/Rebel uprising going on? That stuff should be plentiful and randomly everywhere (well especially in Anarchic populated Systems. Our world has it everywhere and is funded by the very same fellows that want to fight it. It's the way of Power & Control dating way back to the Aztek Kings of 7 Cities. They built armies to fight each other but not hurt the population. Today they don't give a crap about that but still play their game of thrones. Where is all the turmoil except these neat CZs? I never see anything from PowerPlay interact at all with my unpledged Universe. It's all so neat and organised.

There'd be more Freeman and Anarchy factions if there was a way to commit crimes efficitently. Currently smuggling throws systems into lockdown, but that isn't a huge effect, is it?

I'd love systems with no previous unfettered faction to fall to anarchy, and the controlling faction be liquidated in favor of X anarchy faction. Same thing could happen with Democrat > Communism and vice versa, like in Eranin.

So CG really don't have any impact on the world? I thought for this one the population would go down, supplies of things would change, more/less activity in space, disease being spread, station services closing down etc etc.

I thought that was the point of them? If they don't do anything to the world or system then they seem rather disconnected like Powerplay is. That's a shame, since the earlier CGs didn't seem to be that way, IIC there were ones for station building and stuff like that which actually changed space after the CG had finished.

If a Navy wanted to take over a System then surely they'd attack the Stations & Outposts sequentially. Or just setup Security perimeters around the RES zones and bring in large Refineries like in CQC to start the take-over by cutting off supplies. There really is no logic other than 2 sides go to war in a CZ. It's all very queer. We should see Capitol ships and whatever other huge ships attacking stations on a regular basis. They have so much to do with what is already here.
.
i.e. this would change populations. Where are the real Terminators in 3300?
