Planet Coaster 2 announcement trailer

I just saw on youtube that Cities Skylines released the announcement trailer for Cities Skylines 2. If my memory serves me right both these games were released around the same time in 2015 / 2016. This got me thinking is there maybe a Planet Coaster 2 announcement trailer also coming in the next year or so?

Of course we have gotten way less updates and the game was less flexible with no mod support, so maybe Planet Coaster 2 would be a good chance to start over from scratch to make a game that you can really keep on replaying and expanding upon.

What do you guys think?

I think Planet Coaster 2 will be released in 2024, since it will keep the pattern of releasing one year after a Cities: Skylines game, and since Cities: Skylines 2 will be releasing in 2023, it will be safe to assume Planet Coaster 2 will be released 1 year after this game.

Different companies, different timetables, different games, different marketing, etc.
It could also be sheer coincidence that they were released a year apart.

That's like saying because Star Wars The Force Awakens was released in 2015, Star Trek Beyond was released in 2016. No logical connection at all! (pun intended)

Currently i don't care if there is a 2.0 version at all. Still playing Parkitect, which got a massive upgrade due to mods and i am really happy with it.
I am disappointed with Frontier.

Well, for now if you want to try something new which probably is a bit more advanced than Planet Coaster try Park Beyond by Bandai Namco. You need Win 10 for the PC version at a minimum (I'm still on 8.1 which is just past end of support) but I plan to use my mom's old pc and put win 10 on it, it has win 8. My mom passed over a year ago on June 14. The thing about RCT3 and Parkitect though is that you have a bit more freedom than RCT 1-2 but you are still stuck on a grid for paths, rides, etc. And it is possible to make working flat rides for RCT2-3 and Parkitect, but not for Planet Coaster and development has ended for that. We need a newer amusement park game that will be supported by the devs for more than a few years or that allows users to create their own working rides.
