Hayo Park Managers!
We’ve been thrilled with some of the creations we’ve seen already – take a look at the video below – and much like you, we’re just getting started! Last week we mentioned future updates, and today we wanted to share some highlights of what's coming in our next free update, arriving in December.

Here’s what the team are working on for the next free update in December:

Additions and Enhancements:

UI Enhancements

  • Edge scrolling for PC
  • Browser tabs will remain on-screen whilst in tools menus
  • Colour picker adjustments:
  • Exiting the colour picker will apply the setting as well as clicking ‘Confirm’
  • The input field will no longer require the # when adding manual colours
  • Correct the mouse failing to move the cursor whilst outside the gradient square
  • Improve areas where scenery should remember the last custom colour picked
  • The browser no longer closing when placing Blueprints
  • Browser tooltips will show when in placement mode
  • Improved UI responsiveness
Control adjustments
  • The “Return to Browser” option will work when inside the Track Editor
  • For PC players, Angle Snap and other sliders that have an Off option will have functionality for easy toggling
  • Embedding the create custom ride/coaster UI into the object browser rather than having its own bespoke UI
Coasters
  • Adding the ability to have separate loading and unloading stations where applicable
Guests
  • Adding a new heatmap for Guest Tolerance which will show their tolerance for Fear, Nausea and Ride Height amongst other factors
Scenery
  • Adding scenery pieces to create custom coaster supports
  • Add a selection of glass pieces for players to use in their parks
Weather
  • Adding the ability to change weather in Sandbox
Water Visuals
  • Water droplets will now be visible on the game camera when the camera goes into pools
Sandbox Mode
  • Increase the possible maximum guest cap whilst playing in solo play in Sandbox Mode on PC only
Miscellaneous:
  • Coaster bug fixes
  • Correcting jittering special pieces
  • General stability and performance fixes

But we’re not stopping there…

In addition to the above we’re also working hard to bring the following additions and enhancements to this update and will update you on our progress in the coming weeks.

Flumes
  • Improvements to flume physics behaviour
  • More realistic guests/dummy behaviours
  • Allowing multiple guests on flumes at the same time
UI Enhancements
  • Adjusted Colourblind friendly heat maps to make them more user friendly
  • Additional UI enhancements
Controls
  • Streamlined multi-select, Shift/Ctrl will now toggle between options rather than needing to hold the Shift key
  • Added custom rebindable controls for camera tilt and mouse controls
Coasters
  • Customisable tracked and transport rides
Guests & Staff
  • Additional guest and staff balancing - Including balancing guest tolerance for queue lengths.
Workshop
  • Remove the download limit on PC
  • Increase number of items displayed in the browser per page

Thanks Paul and the team too. That's a lot coming in a short space of time.

Remember to take breaks and stay hydrated!

It's great to see what you plan to work on. Thanks for the information. However, I didn't really understand from the communication, will the game receive bug fixes until December, or will the December update be the only one from 07.11.24? It's just that if it's the only one, it sounds sad enough to me, since the problems that affect my gameplay won't be solved for another month, which means I won't be able to play the game. The guests in my game do not use either the pools or the water chutes. Guests hang out on the rides in search of a way, only removing and returning the attraction to its place helps. These are important issues for me.

Absolutely fantastic.
The team there is amazing, and I appreciate all the hard work that you are continuing to pour into this project.
Its wonderful to see the same love and energy in PC2 that we saw in PC1... But less riding over manhole covers this time?

cant wait! While some of the UI bugs are annoying you can at least work around them. I like to build but also play the game. Its SO disheartening that people wont go on or queue for rides. Also guests just wont navigate around the park and there will be one ride/pool where 1000+ guests pack around and the rest of the park is empty. Makes it unplayable. Im really enjoying building thought but i hope we can actually run a park soon.

I apreciate the detailed communication here and that things are added that we discussed quite loudly (especially regarding the UI).
I'm cautious about getting too excited just yet. As @Aramar said, I personally need to wait how much my user expirience really imrpoves with the changes. The UI and the constant clicking is a huge issue for me.

An entire month until our next update? Considering the current player count, there are fixes that need to be addressed and fixed asap. Considering current player counts, this game is already death on two legs. By the time this update drops, there may only be a dozen people who haven't switched back to PlanCo1, Planet Zoo or other more optimized games.

This update all fails to address when we're getting other features that PlanCo1 had (i.e. custom billboards/music). Are we to expect that this game will not even be on par with the first game until sometime in 2025? Why even release this game when you did? DeLadysigner and Rudi have published videos detailing what needs to be fixed asap in order to make this game at least as good/polished as the previous Planet games.

While the announcement of this update is welcomed, it also seems a little late. We need more open communication with the community and more frequent updates. Waiting for ONE update to drop at sometime in December makes me want to give up on the game and maybe pick it back up sometime in 2025 or later.

They're going with the approach of fixing many things at once in one big update round as opposed to scattered mini-updates, which I personally am glad about. I understand your frustration that it's a whole month away without any fixes, and no one's more frustrated at the state of the game than me, but I'm taking this win and look forward to the game hopefully turning around massively in one month, going in with a bang, rather than a slow and gradual ease of lifting disappointment.

Not to mention the work involved prepping for multiple releases and the regression testing needed. It is probably much more efficient to do bigger updates and spend more time fixing things.

Thank you for sharing this information.
We appreciate your communication!

Keep calm with giving applause for post release development of an unfinished product...
Once PC2 will reach 100% dev status and Frontier is still going on to upgrade the game then you can hype them and they'll deserve it.

Absolutely. It would be a technical nightmare doing many small releases. This way they can hopefully have everything tested and perfected ready for a big game-changing update and we can all be happy again

I don't know about you, but I personally am a little confused by the fact that "we will all be happy again" a month after the release. I may be wrong, but it seems to me that this is not how it should work.
