Planet Coaster 2 - My suggestions so far

Hi everyone! This is my first post about Planet Coaster 2. I've been a huge fan of the first game, creating parks and rides from the very beginning up until now. In fact, I still have some active projects in the original edition. Needless to say, I’m extremely excited for the sequel! I’ve already put in a few hours of playtime, and I’ve been loving it so far.

My favorite feature is the scenery editor. While I’m not particularly skilled at designing rollercoasters, I enjoy creating parks with detailed buildings, immersive scenery, landscapes, dark rides, and effects. I always make videos showcasing my creations. Planet Coaster 2 is a big step up, especially in terms of the diversity it offers for building. I love so many aspects of it!

However, I have a few suggestions that could improve the game even further:

1. Grid toggle for objects: It’s crucial to have a button that lets you decide whether an object is locked to the grid. There are amazing pieces (like the gilded roof slope or gilded roof flat quarter), but you can’t rotate or scale them freely. This limitation makes it impossible to create custom roofs because you can’t tilt them up or down.

2. Key sensitivity for tracking shots: In the first game, you could reduce key sensitivity for smooth camera movements. Even at -10 sensitivity in Planet Coaster 2, the camera feels too fast, which makes recording tracking shots through the park challenging. In the original game, pressing “Shift” allowed for faster movement, while moving forward without it at low sensitivity was much slower. I miss this feature.

3. Bush detail rendering: When zooming in and out, certain bushes lose detail even at close range, despite using the highest graphics settings.

4. Angle snapping: Please allow snapping to smaller increments, like 1° instead of only 11.25°.

5. Bug with chain selection: When selecting the object chain, it doesn’t appear as it should.

I’m excited to see how the game evolves and am thrilled to be part of the community. Thank you for all the hard work on this amazing sequel!

All plus one, except point one ;)

But let me explain: They did a fantastic job on those non grided scaleable walls for almost every set. I would like to see this feature expanded to the roofs (and floors). The toggle grid seems like a good idea, but i feel it is a bit deep coded in the game and it may feel confusing, so i would like to see more 'non grided' floor and roofpieces.

Edit: Yes, i finally noticed that Walls are just floorpieces turned at 90°.
